Singani Families: 100 Years of History… and counting

Singani 63 is a product of Casa Real Singani, a fourth generation Bolivian distillery celebrating their 100th Anniversary this year! The Graniers were the first to bring copper pot cognac stills from France. All grapes are hand-harvested and each year Casa Real hosts agricultural seminars by leaders in the field (pun intended) for all growers in the region.

In 2007, while shooting CHE, award winning film director Steven Soderbergh was introduced to Singani through a gifted black-market bottle at a Welcome Crew Party in Madrid. Once he sipped it, he (and the rest of the crew) were hooked. After the shoot, Steven approached the Graniers to ask if they would be willing for their Singani to move beyond Bolivia’s borders. Thankfully, it was an enthusiastic yes.

Psst: Casa Real makes other types of Singanis, but Singani 63 is their only spirit with exclusively estate-grown grapes.
After six years of intrigue with the US Government, Steven & the Graniers were finally able to launch Singani 63 in the States in 2014. Beginning in New York City and branching across the US, Singani 63 is now distributed in all major markets and in the UK.
Soon, the globe!
